Day 01: You will be met on arrival at the airport or be picked from your Nairobi hotel by our office representative for the trek briefing and thereafter depart Nairobi through the central highland of Kenya to arrive arriving Naromoru in time for lunch. After lunch, shopping and meeting with your Mountain guide and porters, you will proceed to Mt Kenya Naromoru Park Gate and start hiking to Met Station (3300m). The hiking takes about 3 hrs.

Day 02: After breakfast, you will proceed through the forest and heather land and on to the moorland/vertical bog to arrive at Teleki Valley Mackinder’s Camp (4300m) early evening. You will have your picnic lunch en route.
Meals and overnight: Mackinder’s Hut/ Camp.
Day 03: An easy day for acclimatization. You depart at 1000hrs after breakfast and ascend along steep scree to Austrian Hut (4700m). Covering this distance takes about 3 hrs.

Day 04. You will have an early attempt of point Lenana. You will wake up at 0400hrs and after tea and same snacks start the ascent at 0500hrs. You will proceed through Lewis Glacier to Point Lenana(4985m) arriving approx. 0600hrs good time for sunrise. After the sunrise, descend down to Mintos Hut for full breakfast prepared by your team of cook and porters. Later descend along the famous Gorges Valley to Chogoria gate.
Meals and overnight at Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas/Campsite
Day 05: You will wake up to a beautif massif that is Mt Kenya gleaming with the sunrays. After breakfast, set on morning journey to chogoria (32km) with a 10kms initial walk before being met by a 4WD vehicles. During the rainy season, you might wlk further than 10kms. On arrival at Chogoria town, you will say goodbye to your guide and porter before being transferred to Nairobi with a safari vehicle. Lunch will be en route in Embu.
