04 Days Tsavo East and Taita Wildlife Sanctuary

Tsavo East National Park is among the biggest conservation areas in Kenya and one of the oldest parks. The land of red elephants and a popular destination for Mombasa holiday seekers. Tsavo East is also known for its landscape beauty and the meandering Galana River.  Yatta plateau, Mudada rock, the luggards falls are some of the interesting points. Crocodile point and Aruba Dam are the other points of interest which are to be visited on this safari. Taita Hill Wildlife Sanctuary is a model of conservation with some areas completely out of human traffic. Due to this, there is abundance of wildlife with over 50 species recorded. The lodge built on a raised platform near a watering hole and one is able to experience big game right at the lodge terrace or from your room. There is also a chance to do a nature walk and or visit an Africa village while on this safari.

    Trip at a Glance

    • Day 1:  Maasai Mara National Reserve: An afternoon game drive
    • Day 2:  Maasai Mara National Reserve. A full day game drive is recommended
    • Day 3:  Maasai Mara National Reserve.
    • Day 4:  Drive to Nairobi.

  • Day 01: You will be picked by your driver guide from the airport or your overnight hotel in Nairobi or Mombasa and departs to Tsavo East National Park through the Nairobi Mombasa Highway.  You will arrive in good time for lunch. Later in the evening from 16000hrs, have a game drive in search for Tsavo wildlife across the expansive Yatta plateau before checking in at your overnight lodge/camp for overnight.

    Day 02: depart to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Taita Hills Game Lodge.  Later after time at leisure, you will have an evening game drive form 1600hrs en route to your overnight lodge

    Meals and Overnight: Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. (FB)

    Day 03: You will have a full day in this wildlife conservancy with an extended morning game drive. Later you will have lunch at Taita Hills Game lodge before an evening game drive back to your overnight lodge. Optional extra cost activities include a night game drive or a visit to Tsavo West National Park

    Meals and Overnight: Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. (FB)

    Day 04: You will have breakfast and thereafter depart for Nairobi/Mombasa arriving in early afternoon. You will have lunch (own arrangement) and later depending on your flight timings, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or dropped off at your pick up point.

    NB: For the beach lovers who have days or weeks on the beach, this safari is ideal for you.
