Tanzania Holiday Destination

Tanzania has everything from pristine coral reefs to the Crater Highlands, remote game reserves and the famous National parks as well as pristine beaches. Tanzania has incredible biodiversity, wildlife populations and bird species often varying according to the season and region.

Tanzania is a land of contrasts and majesty, wild and unexplored. There is the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the spectacular Ngorongoro crater. This is the largest intact caldera in the world, and sheltering one of the most beautiful wildlife havens anywhere in the world. The Ngorongoro Crater conservation area provides dormant and active volcanoes, soaring mountains, and archaeological treasures. Serengeti National park has vast herds of game grazing on the plains. Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It’s where the annual migration of wildebeest and other herds of herbivores that constitute the annual wildebeest migration start.

Lake Manyara National Park is located beneath stunning cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment along the edge of the Rift Valley and offers excellent game-viewing and birdlife. Lake Manyara national park is well known for its tree climbing lions and its prolific birdlife. Tarangire National park with its herd of elephants, the baobab and acacia trees makes this a beautiful scenic park worth a visit. Tarangire National Park is probably the least visited of the northern Tanzanian game parks, and retains a real air of undiscovered Africa. The southern circuit of Tanzania Park is no less spectacular than any other park. In fact the magnificence of the unexploited wilderness of Tanzania lies within the southern part for the country.

Among the southern parks is the Selous Game Reserve. This is the Africa’s largest unexploited game reserve and the largest protected wet wilderness area in the world. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is one of Tanzania’s most outstanding, pristine, paradise and unique exciting wilderness mountains forested with greatest altitudinal range of forest. It’s the place to see diurnal Sanje Mangabey, new discovered monkey and Iringa red Columbus Monkey, and two nocturnal Matundu dwarf Galago and Mountain dwarf Galago among a host of other primate, birdlife and wildlife. Saadan National Park is where the beach meets the bush and is the youngest national park. There are plenty of hippos, crocodiles and birds in the Wami River which borders this park in the South. A long beach stretches east where one can enjoy some beautiful sunrises.

In addition, we have the Western circuits. Kitavi National park is an untraveled and seldom visited.  Katavi is a true wilderness, providing the few intrepid souls who make it there with a thrilling taste of Africa as it must have been a century ago. Mahale National Park is where you can see chimpanzees in their natural habitat at Gombe Stream or Mahale Mountains and trek through breathtaking forests. Ruaha National Park is the largest Elephant sanctuary in Tanzania central southern part.
